The Paint line at Kam Kiu was specifically designed to handle a wide range of extruded and fabricated profiles. We are the approved applicator of high performance organic coating finishes of PPG, Monrton (BASF), Valspar, etc.

All our organic coating finishing complies to AAMA 603 or 605 standard ( Superior Performing Organic Coatings on Aluminum Extrusions and Panels).

1.How does it work
1. It starts with chemical treatment of the aluminum surface. Profiles are attached to specially designed tooling on the production conveyor and passes through 5 stages of washing tanks, where they are first cleaned and etched in a hot alkaline spray, and rinsed with water, then sprayed with a solution of warm mixed acids followed by 2 further water rinses, then oven dried . The result is an aluminum surface that has been chemically converted to amorphous chromium phosphate which is an excellent paint anchor with superior corrosion resistance.

2. After the product leaves the dry off oven, the integrity of the chromium phosphate "conversion coating" is verified by quality control technicians and the part is then conveyed to the painting booths where it is primed, and top (color) coated. For metallic finishes or colors with exotic pigmentation a third clear coat is applied for UV protection. With the state of art equipments, Kam Kiu is able to apply up to 3 coatings for architectural requirement.

2. Quality Standard
AAMA 603 (see details here):
Quality standards applied to the finishes on window units, for duration of 1 year.
กก
AAMA 605 (see details here):
Quality standards applied to architectural components and glass enclosures when extended durability is required, for duration of over 5 years.
กก
ASCA'96:
Quality standards that outlines the testing necessary to qualify high-performance coatings as applied to architectural products when superior durability is required, for duration of over 10 years
